INSTITUTIONAL PREPAREDNESS FOR NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL POLICY (NEP) | |||
1. Multi Disciplinary / Inter Disciplinary: | The university is providing several NEP based UG programs with different elective specialisation. University is also providing facility for dual specialisation (Major and Minor) in the Journalism, Mass Communication, Electronic Media, New Media, media Research, Computer Science, Advertisement and Public Relation, Cinema and Film Studies, Management. University is also offering programs with multiple choice of subject under the Program Elective, General Elective, Ability Enhancement, Skill Enhancement, Value Addition courses and Online SWAYAM Platform based as Additional category of Major and Minor specialization.
As per University notification vide no vide notification 63-A dated 07-09-2021, University has implemented National Education Policy (NEP) Based Under Graduate Level (Bachelor) Programmes Exam. Regulation No. 26 (With effect from July 2021) in its Main Campus its off-campuses. |

2.Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) : | University has implemented Academic Bank Credit as per NEP-2020. The university is registered with DIGI LOCKER NAD for the academic bank of credits and the student’s credentials in the prescribed format of digilocker are being uploaded. | ||
3.Skill Development: | University has adopted Choice based Credit System (CBCS). As per UGC CBCS Framework, University is also offering skill enhancement courses in all programmes. The university is also frequently conducting skill development programs along with different extension activities and SWAYAM Based Online courses. University also has established an incubation centre in order to encourage start up activities for the students. University has also implemented mentor-Mentee scheme, mentees are advised for different courses for enhancing the their skills. | ||
4.Appropriate integration of Indian knowledge System (Teaching in Indian languages, culture & using online courses) | Practical approach and historical background of each course have been implemented as required on present scenario and under the NEP-National Education Policy. The courses have been framed as per Outcome based Education(OBE). University has framed Program Educational Objectives, Program Outcomes and Program Specific Outcomes for Media and Computer Programs and published the on University website. Syllabus of each program has been prepared according to the guidelines of NBA, AICTE & UGC GRE and Washington Accord and approved by the respective board of studies. Each course syllabus having specific program outcomes & course out comes. | ||
6.Distance Education / Online Education | The university is offering certain part time courses and also providing value added courses and SWAYAM platform based online courses according need of students with flexible time table of classes. | ||

· University is running Radio Programme for enhancing knowledge about election, fundamental right of voting, citizen responsibility towards election and increasing voting percentage · University is frequently organising the programs and street march using placards of voting rights in order to increase voter awareness. · University also organises camps to include names in voter list. · The coordinators identify those students who are eligible for voting. · This is a continuous process of the university and are been carried out as per notifications of election commission. |

University’s NSS wing organises National voter day every year on 25th January. Students and NSS volunteers thru seminars provide information about the importance of voting in a democratic country. |
5.The Extent of students above 18 yrs who are yet to be enrolled as voters in the electoral roll and efforts by ELC’s as well as efforts by the college to institutionalise mechanisms to register eligible students as voters.

The students who are above 18 yrs of age become eligible voters. University conducts films, documentaries, lectures and seminars to increase the awareness about the POWER OF VOTE. Eligible students are sensitized about importance of democracy in our country. |
