6.3 Faculty Empowerment Strategies

6.3.1 The institution has performance appraisal system, effective welfare measures for teaching and nonteaching staff and avenues for career  development/progression.

Promotion Policy of University:

Service rules, procedures, recruitment, promotional policies as well as grievances redressal mechanism are defined and followed. in the University. As per UGC Regulations, the University has well defined PABS based annual performance appraisal system for faculty members. Officers and non-teaching staff of University are promoted on the basis of MP State Government Rules and scheme. University staff development fund to take care the personal and societal needs. The following points are considered:

  • Educational qualification of the faculty members and their up gradations
  • Teaching subject
  • Students satisfaction feedback
  • Honours and awards during the year
  • Research publications
  • Conference attended, paper presentations
  • Research projects, major grants, research collaborations submitted/sanctioned
  • Professional bodies memberships, other activities
  • participation in cultural, sports activities
  • Achievements, & any other activity during the year

Promotional Schemes:

Number of Promotional schemes are offered in the university such as:

  • Faculties of various Departments are promoted to participate in workshops, conferences, faculty development programs and refresher courses on a regular basis.
  • University always supports the teachers for higher studies such as Ph.D, D.Sc. etc.
  • Teachers are granted the duty leaves for attending various academic activities as per UGC Norms.
  • The University provides the opportunities to faculties to expose themselves at the global platform by conducting various International & national level of events.
  • The University also have MoU’s with various Universities which allow the faculties to interact with the faculties of other Universities.
  • University has executed the MOUs for faculty and student exchange programs.
  • University has executed the MOUs with university and Industries for Collaborative research and sharing new and innovative ideas
