Criterion 4- Infrastructure and Learning Resources

4.1 Physical Facilities:

4.1.1 The institution has adequate infrastructure facilities for

a. teaching-learning. viz., classrooms, laboratories.
b. ICT enabled facilities such as smart classes, LMS etc.
c. Facilities for cultural and sports activities, yoga centre, games (indoor and outdoor) gymnasium, auditorium etc.

Response:

University has adequate infrastructure facilities. Brief details of them are as follows:

1. Teaching-Learning viz Classrooms, Labs, Studios, Community Radio.

Classrooms: University has 71 classrooms and 16 Audio-Visual smart classrooms as per benchmarks of Statutory Regulatory Authority (SRA). Each classroom is equipped with ICT facility.

Seminar Halls & Auditorium: University has fully furnished 12 seminar halls and 1 Auditorium hall equipped with air conditioning, and ICT, facility.

Nalanda Central Library: University has Nalanda Central Library in separate building. The Central Library has enough stock of books, journals, e-books, and online digital library facility. The Central library has Web-OPAC, OER, databases of journal, memberships of E-ShodhSindhu, Shodhganga, DrillBit-Plagiarism Detection Software facility.

Language Proficiency Lab: University has developed a well-equipped digital language lab for enhancing the soft and communication skills.

Community Radio Station: University has KARMVEER Community Radio stations for providing training to students in broadcasting and media.

i-Radio: University provides i-Radio facility to students for their practical exposure.

Weather Station: University has establishment of Weather Station as Initiatives towards climate change analysis for Carrying out advance research.

Computer Labs: University has modern computer lab equipped with latest technology hardware and software to excel their practical skills.

Printing and Packaging Labs: University provides Printing and Packaging labs facility to the students for their practical exposure.

2. ICT-Enabled Facilities such as Smart Classes, & LMS Etc

University has 448 computers connected with essential software, LAN and internet facility. University has implemented IT Policy for procurement, operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure of institution such as Hardware and Software, Network, Data, Website, Social Media and Digital records and various types of security of IT-Infrastructure. University has implemented Learning Management System (LMS) to provide facility to student to learn any time, any mode, from anywhere.

3. Facilities For Cultural & Sports Activities, Yoga Centre, Games, Gymnasium and Auditorium Etc.

  • Medical Facilities:

University has 8 beds healthcare center named as ‘Dhanvantri Chikitsalaya’ to provide first aid facility along free consultation facility with OPD and IPD facility under Allopathy, Ayurvedic and Homeopathy.

  • Counseling Centre:

University has counselling centre for psychological, stress and anxiety issues.

  • Group Health Insurance:

University is providing group health insurance facility to their employees and their family members with bearing 80 percentage of cost premium as employer share from last six years.

  • Empanelment of Hospitals under CGHS Facility:

University has signed MOU with several hospitals to provide treatment to employees and family members under CGHS (NABH-CGHS) Rates.

  • Mess/Canteens:

University has two hygienic messes for students and canteen for all.

  • Roads and Signage:

The campus boasts well-preserved pathways, complete with clear signage at every intersection, ensuring effortless maneuverability.

  • Lifts Facility:

University has adequate lift facility for officer, teachers, staff and students.

  • Tansit Hostel and Guest House:

University has transit hostel for PhD scholar and Guest House facility for VIP and Guests.

  • Greenery:

University has taken Green & Energy-saving initiatives.
