Bhopal, 11th July, 2020: New Media has become an inevitable medium of Human Communication. The democratic power of Mass Communication is being realized through New Media, which makes every individual to contribute, participate, consume and distribute the media content. Multimedia, Graphics and Animation, Printing and Packaging are rescaling the media content. Department of New Media Technology at MCU offers these relevant courses in its Bhopal campus.
Admissions for the year 2020, is open for students of class 12 and final year under graduates, through Online application. Class 12 students, interested in increasing their aesthetics and creativity through Animation, or narrowing the technical strength of Multimedia can apply for 3 years, BSc Multimedia.
Class 12 students with Maths and Physics, Chemistry/Computers, interested in exploring the Packaging world, with Printing technicalities can apply for 4 years, BTech in Printing and Packaging. Diploma holders in any branch of Engineering and Technology, can apply for Direct Admissions to Second year BTech Printing and Packaging.
Any Under Graduate student, interested in exploring the Data centered Digital Platforms of Media sector, can apply for 2 year, MSc New Media.
The Department has latest high end machines in its Multimedia Lab and Printing Packaging Lab, with licensed software suite. The practical skills related to Digital content production is implemented by the students in the Department Digital News Room. Our alumni students find placements in different capacities including, Graphics Designer, Animator, Freelance Social Media/Digital Marketer, Copy Editor, Sub-Editor, Video Editor, Reporter/Content Editor, Data Analyst, Production Manager, Packaging Executive, Quality Control Executive in reputed organizations, apart from many having their own micro and macro Startups. We welcome the aspiring students of New Media Technology to come and explore the avenues of heritage media and the converging technologies at MCU.
