6.5 Internal Quality Assurance System
6.5.1 Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)/ Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) has contributed significantly for institutionalizing the quality assurance strategies and processes, by constantly reviewing the teaching-learning process, structures & methodologies of operations and learning outcomes, at periodic intervals Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has contributed significantly for institutionalizing the quality assurance strategies and processes visible in terms of–
- Incremental improvements made for the preceding five years with regard to quality (in case of first cycle)
- Incremental improvements made for the preceding five years with regard to quality and post accreditation quality initiatives (second and subsequent cycles)
Response:
As per UGC Guidelines, University has reconstituted IQAC cell under the leadership of the Vice Chancellor. IQAC acts as the nodal committee for quality issues in the university, with a clear mandate to develop measures to maintain and improve quality. University has proactive Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC)/Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS), which defines, monitor and take actions for enhancing the quality assurance strategies and processes by constantly reviewing the teaching learning process, structures and methodologies of operations and learning outcomes at periodic intervals. It has developed mechanisms to record and monitor academic performance of students through Mentor-Mentee Scheme. The university is constantly striving to ensure quality at various levels of the university. The processes encompass a wide array of activities, including the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures that adhere to the standards set by accrediting agencies. By establishing a comprehensive quality assurance framework, the IQAC provides a structured approach towards ensuring adherence to best practices in both academic and administrative domains.
Quality Assurance Process and Strategy:
- IQAC establishes quality assurance processes and strategies by formulating policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards set by regulatory bodies or accreditation agencies.

Evaluation of Teaching and Learning Process:
- IQAC evaluates the effectiveness of teaching and learning processes through various mechanisms such as:
- Reviewing curriculum design and delivery methods.
- Conducting surveys and feedback mechanisms from students, faculty, Alumni and employer.
- Assessing student performance through examinations, assignments, and projects.
- Analyzing teaching methodologies to identify areas of improvement.
Analysis of Teaching Methodology:
- IQAC conducts thorough analysis of teaching methodologies employed by faculty members.
- It assesses the suitability and effectiveness of different teaching approaches in achieving learning objectives.
- It identifies innovative teaching practices and encourages their implementation to enhance the teaching-learning process.
Faculty Appraisal through Scrutiny cum Evaluation:
- IQAC conducts regular appraisal of faculty members to evaluate their performance as per UGC/AICTE Regulations.
- It assesses teaching effectiveness, research output, professional development activities, and contribution to institutional goals.
- It provides constructive feedback and support to faculty members for their professional growth and improvement.
Quality Initiatives taken by IQAC Cell:

- IT Infrastructure and Maintenance Cell
- Several Clubs and cultural committees
- Establishment of Weather Station as Initiatives towards climate change
- Establishment of Community Radio-Karmveer Station as Social Corporate Responsibility
- Outreach and extension activities through Community Radio-Karmveer Station, NSS, NCC, Electoral Literacy Club
- University provides seed money to the faculty member for the research work
6.5.2 Institution has adopted the following for Quality assurance:

2. University has implemented National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 and offered several Undergraduate Programmes based on NEP.
3. University revise the Syllabus of Undergraduate programmes using NEP, Choice Based Credit System(CBCS) and Outcome based Eduction (CBCS).
4. University has implmented Academic Bank Credit System as per NEP-2020.
5. University has executed several MoUs with various international and national institutions for academic, scientific, technical and cultural exchange programmes.
6. University emphasize on Usages of ICT in improving teaching and administrative activities.
7. University has adopted UGC regulation for Online Courses and offered SWAYAM Platform based online courses.
8. University has established NPTEL Local Chapter.
9. After Evaluation of each Internal Examinations, the answer sheets of all subjects of all programme are displayed to the students for their satisfaction.
10. University Implemented the Mentor-Mentee Scheme to keep academic performance and personal records of mentee.
11. University has set up a grievance redressal cell in the campus to address the grievances of students and staff.
12.The Constitution of several cells and committees in university shows qualitative initiatives taken by IQAC Cell. These cells play a pivotal role in enhancing the overall quality. The brief details of them are as follows:
Internal Complaint Committee:
University has established Internal Complaint Committee (ICC) headed by a dedicated senior professor to deal with complaints of sexual harassment on campus.
Research Cell:
The Research Cell facilitates and promotes research activities within the institution. It provides support for faculty and students conducting research, including assistance with funding, proposal writing, and access to resources.The Research Cell organizes seminars, workshops, and conferences to foster a research culture within the institution.
Women Development Cell:
- The Women Development Cell is dedicated to addressing the needs and concerns of female students, faculty, and staff.
- It promotes gender equality, provides support services, and organizes awareness programs and workshops on women’s issues.
- The cell also works towards creating a safe and inclusive environment for women within the University.
Student Grievance Redressal Cell:
This center handles complaints and grievances raised by students regarding various aspects of academic and non-academic life.
Feedback Collection and Analysis Cell:
This cell is responsible for collecting feedback from students, faculty, and other stakeholders on different aspects of the institution, including teaching quality, facilities and administrative processes.
Mentor-Mentee Cell:
The Mentor Mentee Cell facilitates mentorship programs aimed at supporting the personal and academic growth of students.
Electoral Literacy Club:
This club focuses on promoting digital literacy and technological skills among students and faculty.
Committee for Waste Management :
The committee for Waste Water Management System is responsible for implementing strategies to conserve water and manage waste efficiently within the institution.
Committee for Learning Management System (LMS):
University implemented the Learning Management System (LMS) to manage educational digital content and activities.
Patent and IPR Registration:
This function deals with intellectual property rights (IPR) and supports faculty and students in patenting their inventions and innovations.
