2.2 Catering to Student Diversity:

2.2.1 The institution assesses the learning levels of the students and organises special Programmes  to cater to differential learning needs of the student.
Response: 
University has a unique and well-defined system of assessing learning levels of the students. The University admits students from diverse background through a streamlined, fair, and transparent admission policy. The orientation programme is conducted for aspirants every year in the beginning of the semester. To ensure excellence in academic standards, University has adopted the methodology for identification of slow learners and advanced learners.The institute also has a system of feedback and regular assessment meetings in each department to ensure effective delivery of the syllabus and evaluate the learning levels of the students.
University has well established counseling system for the slow and advanced learners through mentorship system.The faculty mentors frequently observed the performance of the students and identified them..In this process, mentor of each student regularly conduct meeting with their respective mentees. After identifying the slow and advanced learners, heads with collaboration of faculty members, organizes special Remedial classes, extra classes, and tutorials. Regular counselling is provided to strengthen the Emotional Quotient (EQ) of students to drive their academic performance and decision making capabilities. Provide additional reading material and assignments to improve basic understanding of the subjects Special training programs, webinars and seminars are organized to help them overcome the difficulties. A. Slow learner.
1. Identification:
Identification of Slow learners are done with the help of mentors and respective faculty. It is a continuous process taken by the departments for tracking their performance in class test, semester exam’s results and thus are marked as slow learners because of poor performance even in assignments and in class performances. Others if not identified are eligible to attend semester exams.
2.Remedial Classes:
After identification of slow learner, respective department conduct meeting with all the identified slow learner and inform them about the schedule of remedial classes with approved time table thru heads and dean and motivates them to improve their performances.
3. Keep record of attendance:
The remedial classes scheduled as per the requirement of identified slow learner and it is mostly 7-15 day, during the conduction of classes the respective faculty members take attendance diary and also submit the record to the heads and dean to keep it safe for future record.
B. Advance learner:
1. Identification:
Identification of advanced learners are done on the basis of his class performance. Sometimes faculty members counsel the student to enroll in additional courses offered.
2. Value added courses:
University is offering value added courses in various disciplines which helps students to improve their skills and experimental learning. After identification of an advance learner the faculty members motivate them to get enroll in value added programs.
3. Career counseling:
Career counseling is done frequently by the university for advance learners thru seminars, webinars for better career options.
4. SWAYAM Courses:
The topper of each class is appointed as Class Representative to give a chance to develop their communication, leadership and team-building skills. Students are encouraged to participate and undertake MOOCs from NPTEL, SWAYAM, Coursera under additional course.
