Sensitization of Information Security Awareness a Special Lecture organized at MCU, Bhopal on Cyber Awareness Day
Bhopal, 01 December, 2021: A Cyber Awareness Program was organized by Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal following the circular of UGC (University Grant Commission) to observe Cyber Jaagrukta Diwas every month at the Higher Educational Institutes. Due to the increasing number of Social Media users & cyber threats in the current world of pandemics & Online Learning, it was stated by the Ministry to organize Seminars, Workshops & Interactive Sessions on the first Wednesday of every month regarding Cyber Hygiene Protection & Cyber Security Awareness.
The program at the University featured a special lecture by Mr Raghu Pandey under the guidance of Chief Patron Prof. K. G. Suresh, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Convener Dr. P. Sasikala & Session Coordinator Mr Manoj Kumar Dhurvey, for the UG & PG students of New Media Technology.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. K. G. Suresh informed the students, faculty members and staff of the University to be vigilant about information security and to create awareness among the fellow group.
Session Speaker Mr. Raghu Pandey is an expert of Digital Citizenship and Internet Maturity. The expert discussed on various aspects of Information Security, Cyber Security, Cyber Safety, Digital Literacy, Information Literacy & Web 2.0 with the audience.
All the departmental teachers & students attended the seminar through offline & hybrid modes following the COVID Standard protocols.
Chairing the Session Prof. P. Sasikala, Head of the Department New Media Technology, stated that every month such sessions will be conducted on the first Wednesday, to educate the students regarding their personal Cyber Safety & Awareness.
At the end of the session, she motivated the students to actively engage in the upcoming Information Security Awareness & Cyber Hygiene Programs.
