Journalism University figures in the Top Ten of the country in India Today and The Week survey

MCU is the only university of Madhya Pradesh which features in the list of top ten in both the surveys

Bhopal, 24 June, 2024: Makhanlal Chaturvedi National Journalism and Communication University (MCU), Asia’s first and India’s largest media university, has made its place in the top ten in the survey conducted by India Today, The Week and Hansa 2024 for the best colleges of the country.

MCU was ranked 11th in India Today’s survey in 2023 . This year it has moved up one place and joined the top ten. The Journalism University is the only university of Madhya Pradesh which figures in the top ten list in both the surveys. Expressing happiness over this big achievement, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Suresh gave the credit for this to the teachers, officers ,employees and students of MCU. Prof. Suresh said that it is a matter of great pride that our university has made its place in the top ten in the list of ten best colleges of the country. MCU also figured in the top ten list of The Week. It is noteworthy that this year, for the first time, the University has been honored with the Edutainment Award in a grand program organized in Mumbai. The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) Suresh was honored for his outstanding contribution. The New Media Technology department of the university also recived an award in the ceremony. MCU is among the first universities in the country to implement the National Education Policy. Apart from this, two new departments, Department of Cinema Studies and Department of Indian Languages, have also been established in the university. Two new courses at the graduate level, B.A. (Hindi Language, Technology and Translation) and B.Sc. (Media Research) have also been started this year. For the first time, online applications have been invited this year through the Central University Entrance Examination CUET. Along with this, the university is also participating in the NAAC process this year. After this big achievement, there is joy among the teachers, officers and employees of the university.
