Special Initiatives for Rural Student Education and Employment of Madhya Pradesh: Prof. KG Suresh
Bhopal, 14 January 2022: An MoU has been signed between Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication and Media and Entertainment Skill Council New Delhi (MESC) with the objective of updating curriculum, skill development and providing employment opportunities to students in the field of journalism and communication. An MOU was signed by MCU Vice Chancellor Prof. KG Suresh and MESC CEO Mohit Soni.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh said that the benefit of this MoU will be given to the students of the university and its affiliated educational institutions.
He also said that through the MoU signed with MESC on the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, we will try to connect the students with the innovations happening in the field of journalism and communication. The aim of this MoU is to further upgrade media education. In collaboration with the subject experts of MESC, new curricula for media students will be developed so that the students are educated keeping in mind the present and future needs of the media sector.
He said that courses would also be developed for skill upgradation of students of about 1600 institutions affiliated to the university. Students from remote rural areas of Madhya Pradesh are the students of these institutions. Vice Chancellor Prof. Suresh also assured that with this, efforts will also be made to provide employment to the students in various fields related to media through MESC.
Along with this, attention will also be given to make students entrepreneurs. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohit Soni, CEO, MESC said that this MoU will prove to be a milestone.
